DENTOTEMP
DENTOTEMP is specially designed to provide high elasticity. This unique property allows it to flex under daily occlusal forces, offering impact resistance and protection against fractures. As a result, the tendency for abutment screws to loosen is significantly reduced. DENTOTEMP's mechanical retention ensures secure retention while allowing for easy removal or readjustment when necessary.

Indications:

  • Temporary cementation of temporary prosthetic components:
    • Cementation of temporary or permanent prosthetic components on natural teeth in cases of low retention or for long-term trials (up to 8 months).
  • Permanent cementation of implant-supported crowns and bridges.

Advantages:

  • Ideal for implants: Provides low stress and high durability.
  • Eugenol-free: Does not interact with cements used for permanent cementation.
  • High adhesion capacity: Ensures easy removability.
  • Maintains gingival health: The gingiva remains completely healthy during desiccation.
  • Adheres to the inner surface of prostheses: Binds to the intrados of temporary resin crowns and removes the entire cement layer when taken out, leaving no residue on the natural tooth surface.
  • Rebasing and cementation: Can be performed in a single step.
  • Suitable for use on vital teeth.
  • Low film thickness: Delivers highly aesthetic results.
  • Radiopaque: Ensures visibility.

Tips and Recommendations:

  • To reduce retention: A small amount of petroleum jelly can be added to DENTOTEMP.
  • For removing temporary components: The Furrer plier is a practical tool.
  • During the rebasing process: Since DENTOTEMP bonds to the intrados of temporary resin teeth, re-cementation can be performed by adding a small amount of new DENTOTEMP rather than completely removing it.
  • For temporary cementation on a composite-reconstructed tooth: It is important to isolate the supporting tooth.
