Features:
-
Moisture Condition for Application:
Before applying TotalCem, dentin should be dry, but not overly dry. -
Enamel Etching:
For inlays and onlays, it is recommended to etch the enamel margins with phosphoric acid to enhance bond strength, ensuring the acid does not spread onto the dentin. -
Root Canal Cleaning for Optimal Cementation:
- Use a calibrated drill to remove all gutta-percha residues.
- Clean with an ultrasonic probe.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry properly.
-
Application with Intraoral Tips:
TotalCem should be applied using ultra-thin intraoral tips for precision. -
Mechanical Support Required for Enamel Bonding:
TotalCem is not developed for bonding directly to enamel without mechanical support (e.g., dental brackets or veneers). -
Cementation of Ceramic or Zirconium Restorations:
To improve cementation, follow this procedure:- Apply hydrofluoric acid for 1 to 3 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Apply silane (e.g., DentoBond Porcelain Fix).
