It can kick like an amalgam.Adheres spontaneously to dentin and enamel. It releases a high amount of fluorine. Wear resistance is low.It has high radiopacity.It hardens on its own. It has excellent surface hardness.It is suitable for the atraumatic restoration technique (ART).
It is used as a base under composite restorations in primary tooth restorations, permanent class I restorations, semi-permanent class II restorations, class V fillings where aesthetics is not at the forefront in core construction.
