Sdi - Zipbond Universal: Universal Adhesive Refill (5 ml bottle)

Zipbond Universal is a one-component fluoride-releasing universal adhesive compatible with self etch, selective etch and total etch techniques. Zipbond Universal provides repeatable and reliable bond strengths in the presence of a variety of tooth structure and numerous restorative options.
Zipbond Universal provides successful bonding forces across dentin and enamel using self-etch and total-etch techniques.
Total etch is considered the best choice for enamel preparations only 2 . Using the total etching technique on enamel, Zipbond Universal has minimal fluctuations in bond strength and demonstrates its ability to achieve predictable results with every use.
The heterogeneity of dentin and the variability in mineral and water content add complexity to dentin bonding 1 . Zipbond Universal's carefully selected chemistry overcomes the challenges associated with dentin bonding to provide strong and repeatable bonding forces in self etch and total tech techniques.
Choose Zipbond Universal for consistent adhesion, predictable clinical results, and confidence at the interface between your patient tooth and restoration.
Wet and dry dentin bonding
Changes in dentin surface moisture can affect bond strength 2 . Zipbond Universal achieves similar bond strengths when applied to wet and dry dentin, reducing technical precision.
Even where the dentin is overdried, Zipbond Universal will still create a hybrid layer, further reducing technical precision.
Predictable adhesion forces to indirect surfaces
Zipbond Universal provides high bond strength to composite, ceramic, porcelain and metal surfaces. Bond strength between indirect substrates is similar, emphasizing reliable adhesion for restorative situations. Safely use Zipbond Universal with your preferred indirect restorative material.
Proprietary combination of adhesive monomers
Zipbond Universal contains two adhesive monomers that work in concert to provide a durable and strong bond. A proprietary combination of monomers, including the MDP monomer, makes adhesion effective on enamel, dentin and a range of indirect substrates. Adhesive monomers contain hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups. Hydrophilic monomers rapidly infiltrate the enamel and dentin tubules. Effective wettability, the adhesive spreads homogeneously on the tooth surface and ensures complete sealing of the dentinal tubules.
After curing, the hydrophobic monomers reduce the water permeability to form a solid interface and strong interaction between the tooth and the substrate.
Effective hybridization
The hybrid layer is the 1 main bonding mechanism of adhesive agents. The adhesive monomers in Zipbond Universal spread effectively and evenly over the tooth surface and hybridization is continuous throughout the prepared cavity. The dentinal tubules are completely sealed with both self-etch and total-etch techniques, minimizing the risk of post-operative sensitivity for the patient.
Exceptional control
Controlled use, optimum film thickness and increased bond strength are achieved by the incorporation of nanofillers. Zipbond Universal is easy to apply in a homogeneous thin layer. Indirect restorations can be precisely seated to provide an unobstructed seal against the tooth.
Extremely aesthetic
The adhesive is visible during placement and is virtually invisible on dentin after it has cured. It is ideal for use in aesthetic areas with whitening and translucent restorative materials.
Pleasant aroma
Zipbond Universal is light in flavor to support your patients' comfort during restorative procedures.
Fluoride release
The primary factor in the early failure of medium to large composite restorations is secondary decay at the margins of the restorations' 3 . Zipbond Universal releases fluoride to protect the tooth-restoring interface against demineralization. An effective marginal seal that fights recurrent decay results in longer-lasting restoration.
