Self-Etch / Self-Adhesive Self Cure Resin Cement
No need for acid etching and bonding application.
Maxcem Elite self-etch, self-adhesive resin-based cement provides stronger adhesion and ease of use without compromising bonding performance in indirect restorations.
It is easy to clean and does not require hand mixing or refrigeration.
It allows easier application in hard-to-reach areas thanks to special intraoral and canal tips.
Features:
- High Bond Strength: Bond strength ranges from 22-36 MPa depending on the surface (Enamel: 22 MPa, Dentin: 24 MPa, Zirconia: 28 MPa, Porcelain: 30 MPa).
- Easy Application: No need for refrigeration, easy to clean, and does not require mixing.
- Special Intraoral and Canal Tips: Provides easy application in intraoral and canal areas.
- Bonds to All Restorative Materials: Ceramic restorations, porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM), full metal restorations, and CAD-CAM materials.
- Effective Self-Cure: Fully polymerizes even in areas where light cannot reach.
Application:
- Temporary Restoration Removal: The temporary restoration is removed.
- Cement Removal: Cement is removed without damaging tissue using the recommended Kerr Opti Clean cement remover.
- Rinse and Dry: The area is rinsed and air-dried, ensuring not to over-dry the region.
- Cement Shade Selection: Select the desired shade of Kerr Maxcem cement.
- Automix Application: Attach the automix tip to the syringe, and expel a small amount of material, which should not be used.
- Inlay/Onlay Application: Apply Kerr Maxcem directly to the treatment area, covering all surfaces, and allow the cement to flow as the restoration is seated.
- Crown Application: Apply Kerr Maxcem inside the restoration or the treatment area, covering all surfaces, and allow the cement to flow as the restoration is seated.
-
Post Application: Prepare the post area, adjust the size of the post, and seat it directly into the cement.
- After seating the post, gently rock it to avoid trapped air and allow the cement to flow into the canal.
- Waiting Time: Wait 90 seconds before curing and remove excess cement with Kerr Opti Clean.
-
Light Curing: Hold the light for 2 seconds to bring the cement to a gel-like consistency and wait 2-3 minutes for it to self-cure.
- After removing excess cement, light cure all surfaces, including the margins.
- Recommended Light: Kerr LE Demetron II (5 seconds).
- Final Steps: Polish the restoration and check the occlusion to complete the procedure.
