Refine® Swan Dental Broad Spectrum LED Curing Light (Light Cure Unit)

Features:

  • Broad Spectrum LED Light: Effectively cures most materials.
  • Constant Current Drive: Ensures reliable performance.
  • Wireless and Hygienic Design: Provides easy handling and improved hygiene.

Two Intensity Modes:

  • P1 High-Intensity Mode:

    • Constant intensity: 2300-2500 mW/cm²
    • Used for fast curing, providing sufficient depth and greater efficiency.
    • Timer settings: 1s, 3s
    • Suitable for orthodontic brackets, post and core structures, and curing light-sensitive adhesives in porcelain veneers.
  • P2 General Intensity Mode:

    • Constant intensity: 1000-1200 mW/cm²
    • Ideal for most treatment scenarios such as dental fillings and restorations.
    • Timer settings: 5s, 10s, 15s, 20s
    • Used for normal resins.

Broad Spectrum: Most resins use the CQ (camphorquinone) photoinitiator, but some resins incorporate new photoinitiators like diphenylphosphine oxide or Ivocerin. The light absorption peak for new materials containing TPO is at 405 nm. Narrow spectrum devices may cause incomplete curing in such resins, leading to secondary pulpitis, apical inflammation, and tooth sensitivity.

The Swan broad spectrum curing device adds the 385-420 nm band, enabling it to fully cure all light-curable materials effectively.

Technical Specifications:

  • Model: Swan
  • Power Input: 100-240VAC 50Hz/60Hz
  • Power Output: 5V DC/1A
  • Wavelength Range: 385 nm - 515 nm
  • Light Intensity: 1000 mW/cm² – 2500 mW/cm²
  • Battery Capacity: 2600 mA

The Refine® Swan is an advanced device that cures all dental materials effectively, thanks to its broad-spectrum light, making it a powerful tool in modern dental practices. Its ability to handle a variety of photoinitiators and materials ensures complete curing, minimizing the risk of treatment failures and complications. The wireless design enhances maneuverability, while the dual intensity modes provide flexibility for different dental procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes for each case.
