Kerr Impression Compound: Green - 15 Sticks

Kerr Impression Compound is a thermoplastic impression material designed for use in taking full or partial impressions, as well as for copper band impressions and modifying the periphery of an impression tray. It is available in both cakes and sticks, providing versatility depending on the specific dental procedure. The material is thermoplastic, meaning it softens when heated and hardens upon cooling, making it highly moldable and suitable for precise impression work.

Each coloured variant of the Kerr Impression Compound comes with a controlled working temperature, ensuring optimal performance for specific applications.

Indications:

  • Full or partial impressions: Ideal for capturing detailed impressions of the dental arches for both complete and partial dentures.
  • Copper band impressions: Used specifically for smaller areas where more precision is needed.
  • Periphery of an impression tray: Allows for easy modification and customization of the tray edges to better fit the patient’s mouth.

Colour Variants and Their Uses:

  1. Red:
    • Designed for use with copper rings and bite registration.
    • Fusion temperature: 55-56°C (131-132.8°F).
    • This colour is ideal for procedures that require slightly higher temperatures to soften the material and allow for precise manipulation.
  2. Green:
    • Primarily used for copper rings and peripheral joints.
    • Fusion temperature: 50-51°C (122-123.8°F).
    • Green is the preferred choice for working with peripheral joints or when lower working temperatures are desired, providing a more comfortable and controlled impression process.

Contents:

  • The package contains 15 sticks of Kerr Green Impression Compound, making it convenient for multiple uses in clinical settings. These sticks are suitable for use in various impression tasks, specifically for peripheral modifications and copper ring impressions, offering both precision and versatility.

This impression material is particularly useful for dentists requiring accurate and flexible impression solutions, especially for full denture impressions, copper band use, and tray edge modifications.
